TGP6 Andrew Westphal: The Fiddle Playing Astrophysicist

A conversation with Dr. Andrew Westphal, Research Physicist of UC Berkeley’s Space Sciences Laboratory. Andrew is the author of over 200 scientific papers and an active researcher in the scientific field known as cosmochemistry and he talks about how his travels have brought him to playing in Irish music sessions in Galway and a bit about his work. He even sings for us a song in Gaelic!

Followed by a good craic conversation with John Keane, the Honorary Consul General of Ireland in Seattle which is one of Galway's sister cities in USA. John also does a lot of work with the Irish Heritage Club and he even has his name inscribed in the Seattle Stone in Galway. Finally a cover of 'Scorn Not His Simplicity' by Fender Jackson.
